This Is My Job

Once a week we have to speak in front of the kids (all 2700 of them), and this morning, we sang and danced the hokey pokey. Umm, yes, I did this. If you've heard me sing you are probably counting your blessings that you weren't there. For some reason over here, they don't seem to mind. I know even though they can't understand the language they can still tell how awful I am. But I'm much more willing to make a fool of myself here; it's fun and very freeing. The kids seem to really enjoy it at least.

Myself and the two other farang teachers, Lia and Howard, showing the students left-hand-in.

Just in case you can't tell, I definitely have the microphone on this one. "Head in, head out..." The kids ate it up.

Absolutely no idea what they were talking about or what these banners are for, but I thought the big Coca-Cola advertisement was entertaining. It really is everywhere.

Every morning before school we have assembly and the kids all have their places while the band comes out. They sing the school song, which you can see below, and make announcements (completely in Thai). We go every Thursday and "perform" for them. In the video below, you see maybe a third of the students. There are so many!
